Network Server Node NG2-VPS-003 outage

Update 4 - Dear Customers,

Our engineers have managed to recover all the shared servers on the node from the available backups. The websites hosted on shared server are working now. We will keep posting further updates Update 3 -

Dear Customers, Our engineers have been working through the night with their latest update being that they are unable to bring the array back online due to the severity of the hardware failure. They will continue to investigate. We have restored the backups from customers who have already supplied them. We will be contacting all other customers who have been affected. We would like to continue to apologise for any inconvenience and assure you we will continue to work on this incident and a report will be published once concluded.


Update 2 - Our engineers have been working on bringing back up the raid array on new hardware, unfortunately, although the array mounted successfully and reported as active we have subsequently discovered significant data corruption caused by the earlier component failure. We feel that any further efforts put into recovering the array would be futile and as a result, we have begun the restoration of data from available backups.

We will be contacting all VPS customers that are affected by this shortly to arrange the deployment of new servers and recovery of data from backups.


Update - Our engineers have identified the cause of the outage as a failing component within the server, as this is not a component that can be repaired or replaced we are now in the process of migrating the data to another server.

Our engineers are working to do this as quickly as possible however due to the large volume of data involved this may take some hours to complete in full.

We appreciate your ongoing patience while this is being performed and will provide further updates as they are received from our engineers.
